About your group

The Association includes all residents of the estate (over 700 tenants). We liaise with the council, Whitefriars and police regarding problems on the estate. We have organised litter picks, skips, children's outings, and would like to do more to bring the community together, because cars and the lack of a community centre and range of shops mean that neighbours have little contact with each other.

We have monthly committee meetings and two open meetings (publicised via a newsletter) a year in a small shop unit. We also use the shop (34 Nickson Rd) for a drop-in on Monday mornings (10.30am-11.30am, not bank holidays).
