About Your GroupOriginally founded in 1970, the Society has recently been re-launched with a number of new members becoming involved. The Coventry Society campaigns to conserve historic buildings, particularly those under threat of inappropriate use or demolition, and believes that modern developments and new buildings ought to be compatible with their surroundings. Members study planning applications and proposals and take an interest in anything that may affect our heritage and environment. The Society is a member of the West Midlands Amenity Societies Association and the Civic Trust. |
