About Your Group

Coventry Multi-Faith Forum is a charitable initiative representing people from all the major faith traditions found in and around Coventry. The Forum came into existence in 1996.

Membership of the Forum consists of individuals from Arya Samaj, Bahai, Bhuddist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, West Indian, and Zoroastrian communities.

The aim of the Forum is to celebrate diversity and foster harmony between different communities by increasing knowledge and understanding of each other's ideals. At an individual level the Forum endeavours to encourage personal development through promoting higher values in our daily lives.

Our activities are wide-ranging and include addressing issues which affect all communities, such as the teaching of mother-tongue languages, discussing questions of identity faced by young people, religious education, and racism. We also take part in positive activities such as the 'Peace Walk' and 'One World Week' celebrations. The Multi-Faith Forum can also act as a channel of communication to voice concerns and aspirations of minority communities on any matters of local or national importance.

On the 8th June 2002 the Forum took over management of a Multi-Faith centre in the heart of the City, providing a focal point for hosting multi-faith events such as displays, celebrations and discussion evenings.
