City Centre Regeneration Coventry City Council is currently consulting on the Jerde masterplan to redevelop Coventry's City Centre. An exhibition of the plans drawn up by architects The Jerde Partnership is open until Saturday 25th October between 10.30am - 2.30pm at 2 City Arcade. Coventry:the next twenty years
The Sustainable Communties Strategy, Coventry's twenty year plan for the future which CEN members contributed to through consultation, has been formally launched. Following approval by Coventry City Council's Cabinet and subsequently by Rt. Hon Hazel Blears MP, Secretary of State for Communties and Local Government, the strategy is now being acted upon through a three year short term plan called the Local Area Agreement (LAA). 11 Million Takeover Day Returns! The second national 11 Million Takeover Day is taking place on 7th November to coincide with the climax of the National Youth Work Week 2008. Local authorities, communities, businesses, charities, schools and the media are encouraged to invite children and young people to takeover their organisations for one day.
