CEN’s AGM took place on Saturday 8th November 2008 at St. Peters Community Centre, Hillfields, Coventry and included important proposals for the future of CEN as an organisation in its own right, independent of Voluntary Action Coventry. Update to follow!.

Gosford Park Residents Association - Christmas Party
Gosford Park Residents Association will be holding a Christmas Party (Thanks to a grant from Heart of England) at the Humber Hotel Saturday 13 December 7:30pm till late.There will be live entertainment dancing, a quiz, raffles and a free buffet.

City Centre Regeneration
Coventry City Council is currently consulting on the Jerde masterplan to redevelop Coventry's City Centre. An exhibition of the plans drawn up by architects The Jerde Partnership is open until Saturday 25th October between 10.30am - 2.30pm at 2 City Arcade. Coventry:the next twenty years
The Sustainable Communties Strategy, Coventry's twenty year plan for the future which CEN members contributed to through consultation, has been formally launched. Following approval by Coventry City Council's Cabinet and subsequently by Rt. Hon Hazel Blears MP, Secretary of State for Communties and Local Government, the strategy is now being acted upon through a three year short term plan called the Local Area Agreement (LAA). 11 Million Takeover Day Returns!
The second national 11 Million Takeover Day is taking place on 7th November to coincide with the climax of the National Youth Work Week 2008. Local authorities, communities, businesses, charities, schools and the media are encouraged to invite children and young people to takeover their organisations for one day.
