When: 30th, 31st October, and 1st November.

Where: Coventry Rugby Club, The Butts, Coventry.

A series of workshops to provide information and advice for organisations considering submitting project proposals for the period 2008 - 2011.

The Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership are inviting project proposals from organisations, to address the priorities identified in the Coventry Children and Young People's Plan 2006 - 2010.  The Workshops will enable people to find out more about what these priorities are, the decision making process and the importance of partnership working in putting together a good proposal.

  • Infant morality / Teenage pregnancy / STI''s
  • Inappropriate referrals to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

30/10/07  1.00-3.30  Stay Safe.

  • Substance misuse - drug and alcohol.
  • Reducing bullying in schools and the community.
  • Child protection (Domestic violence).

31/10/07  9.30-12.00  Supportive Friends, Families and Communities.

  • Reducing bullying in schools and the community.
  • Child protection (Domestic Violence).
  • Parents and carers nurture their child's all round well being.

31/10/07  1.00-3.30  Make A Positive Contribution.

  • Support the Involvement and Participation Strategy.

01/11/07  9.30-12.00  Enjoy and Achieve.

  • Improving the attainment of Looked After Children at 16.
  • Making sure more children are ready for school.

01/11/07  1.00-3.30  Achieve Economic Wellbeing.

  • Priority Young People not in education, employment, or training (i.e. looked after children, priority neighbourhoods).
  • Retention of 17 year olds in education or training.
  • Looked after Children going into Education, Employment and Training.
